Bloomberg reported on Thursday, citing World Bank President Ajay Banga, that the World Bank Group could mobilize between $20 billion and $25 billion in rapid financing to assist countries dealing with the economic impact of the war in Iran. Banga also told Bloomberg Television that if the conflict continues, the institution is exploring options to secure an additional $50 billion to $60 billion in funding capacity. Any support from the World Bank would come alongside assistance provided by the International Monetary Fund.
